Woman saves abandoned dog from a cage submerged in water – Daily Mail

New Jersey woman Jennifer Vaz rescued a 10-month-old pit bull found abandoned in a Highlands bay on Monday morning, where it was sitting in a wire cage and partially submerged in water. She was walking her own dog early that morning, who led her to the pit bull in need. She rescued him, named him River, and got help. Now she announced that she plans to foster and eventually adopt the dog. Police are searching for the person who left River in the bank and they could face three to five years in prison.
